What made Nancy and Ron’s wedding so picture perfect was because of Kelley Gin of Picture Perfect Events. She meld tradition and modern so successfully and so succinct that it was gorgeous to photograph. With the help of Gilly Flowers, the cherry blossom made an already extraordinary ballroom look almost like Spring time in Japan. I know for sure, I’d like to work with Kelley again, her attention to details makes for a wedding photographer’s best friend.

Christina & Charlie Wedding featured on Ceremony Magazine’s California Wedding Wave

Mazel tov to Shayna and Arthur on their nuptial at the Beverly Hilton. One of the most festive rituals I’ve ever seen in my entire wedding photography career. This one tops the list for sure. Shayna is an actress, and for those who don’t know, she played Marina on The Fresh Beat Band on Nick Jr. Â A very talented actress but also a musician and song writer as well. Â Arthur is a screenwriter and if you’re one of the generations whose eyes are fixated on iCarly, Victorious, and other shows on Nickelodeon then chances are you’ve seen some of his episodes. Â The guy is witty and funny.

Where do I start? Oh yeah, the Tisch. The Tisch is where the men gather in one room for prayers and toasts and well wishes. So it goes like this, first theres a bit of prayer, then some singing, add a little drinking and walla! the Tisch! Â Of course that’s not all. Â The men put on these felt round hats (I think it’s called a Samet) complete with long curly locks and parade down the corridors of the Beverly Hilton to meet and “veil” the bride. This all takes place right before the actual ceremony. Â And at the ceremony under a decorated Chuppah, Shayna and Arthur gave their vows. At the reception, Sam Glaser was there to reign in the festivities with his signing of traditional Jewish celebration songs including “Hava Nagila” for which Shayna took to the stage to dance. The rest is history and what happened next, I’ll let the photos speak for themselves.

Christina and Charlie Wedding at the Wayfarers Chapel and the Portofino Hotel, Redondo Beach

Wedding of Laura and David at the Highland Springs Resort

Laura and David, two attorneys living in New York came to California to wed. Â Their venue was at the Highland Springs Resort, a natural wonder in Cherry Valley. Â Graced with lavender fields and olive groves and an ancient oak tree that has survived for 1100 years, it is one of the quintessential outdoor rustic and romantic wedding locations east of Los Angeles.

At this time of the season, lavender flowers were beginning to bloom. Â The olive grove provided an enchanting space for portraits and a cocktail area as well. Â The palette of soft tans, mist green, light lavender complemented perfectly to Laura’s theme.

All the while, LaDawn Williams from Platinum Lining Events, coordinated this amazing wedding to make sure it went according to plan. Â She had kept a long distance connection with Laura and David to design this magical day.

And to the incomparable Lauryl Lane, who designed the breathtaking botanical inspirations including a Chuppah made of birch and adorned with florals and moss. Â The reception tablescapes were not only accompanied with flowers but with vintage bird cages. Â A surprising touch. Ingenious use of wood, moss, and other organic touches brought a natural element to the entire floral design. Laura did a little DIY herself and made all the numbers and placecards out of fabric and cardstock beautifully complementing the florals.

We had a field day photographing Eechin and Joe’s wedding at The Athenaeum at Cal Tech in Pasadena. Â They so enjoyed to be photographed and I couldn’t ask for a more beautiful couple against the European architecture elements of columns and courtyards. Â These two gentle souls are so in love, makes anyone envious as they look at each other with Googly eyes. This wedding was featured on Style Me Pretty.
